Discovery Program Overview

• Learn a programming language fundamentals
• Apply learnings through project based application under the guidance of Microsoft employees
• Gain mentorship with Microsoft employees
• Develop career readiness skills (social emotional, networking, communication, etc.)
• Gain an understanding of Microsoft’s history, culture, and technologies
• Provide continue learning & development resources to build on experience

Program Qualifications Application opens March 1:

• Rising college first year students that live within 50 miles of Redmond, Washington
• Have demonstrated an interest in technology
• Demonstrated interest in majoring in a STEM related major
• Completed pre-calculus or an equivalent course by the start of the program
• Be at least 16 years old and have a legal right to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program
• Be available to participate full-time for 4 consecutive weeks (July 11- August 5,2022)
• All high school seniors that live within 50 miles of Redmond, Washington are welcome to apply
